Before 2022, the school operated under the name Jazz on Tap Dance Company but underwent a rebranding to become Michelle Bedford Dance Studios.

Approximately every 18 months, the studio organises a full-company show to raise funds for a selected charity. This initiative provides pupils with invaluable exposure to the atmosphere and demands of a professional show.

Annually, students have the opportunity to showcase their talents through exams if they so choose. These exams are conducted by external examiners who assess the students and award certificates and accolades based on their demonstrated brilliance. The studio boasts a 100% exam pass rate.

Michelle Bedford Dance Studios actively participates in the annual Tapathon, fostering a vibrant atmosphere and connecting pupils with performers worldwide.

Furthermore, the studio engages in a yearly carnival, where participants dress according to a chosen theme and dance through Nailsea alongside other dance schools. This involvement serves as a wonderful way to maintain a strong presence within the community.

Classes are scheduled during academic term times, allowing students to enjoy breaks during school holidays. Additionally, Michelle offers private dance lessons, providing students with the opportunity for one-on-one instruction from a professional and the chance to explore new dance styles.

With a diverse range of dance styles on offer, students have the flexibility to train in multiple genres or focus solely on their preferred style.
